Chocolate Chip Blondies

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 170 gms brown sugar
  • ½ cup / 115 grams butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ tsp vanilla extract
  • 225 gms chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
  • Beat sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Preheat oven to 180 C | 350 F. Grease a 13 x 7 inch brownie pan. Spread into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool the pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.

Notes

  • You can add a mix of white and dark chocolate chips.
  • Add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to give some nuttiness.
