Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

Low-fat breakfast smoothie with oats, strawberries and banana

Ingredients

  • 10-12 strawberries
  • 1 large banana
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cup low fat milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp almond essence

Instructions

  • Toast the oats on low flame for a minute. Set aside to cool.
  • Blend the oats, almond essence and ½ cup milk in a blender until well combined.
  • Then add strawberries, chopped banana, honey, remaining milk and blend until smooth.

Notes

  • Toasting the oats is optional, you can skip it.
  • You can use vanilla essence instead of almond essence.
  • If you prefer a smooth smoothie, powder the oats and blend with rest of ingredients.
