Ingredients

all-purpose flour
½
cup
icing sugar / powdered sugar

unsalted butter
at room temperature

tsp
vanilla extract

of salt

tutti frutti
½ - 1
tbsp
milk
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, add sugar and butter. Using a hand mixer, beat for 3-4 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Add the all-purpose flour, salt, vanilla essence and beat until the mixture turns crumbly. Add the tutti frutti and combine well.
Add ½ tbsp milk and bring everything together. Add the remaining ½ tbsp milk if required and form a soft dough.
Shape the dough into a log and cover tightly with cling wrap. Refrigerate for 45 minutes.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Cut the log into ½-inch thick slices. Place in the baking tray and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 160°C | 320°F. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
Notes
The dough will be sticky. Lightly dust with flour and shape into a log.
The cookies will be soft after baking but after cooling will become crisp.
